I began MISST with very little technological background other than knowing how to effectively use my PC and its Microsoft applications on a daily basis. It was very intimidating at first, but what I quickly realized after beginning the program was that every single participant had valuable strengths that they brought to the table, me included. MISST has given me the opportunity to fine-tune and enhance some of my strengths while becoming more competitive and relevant technologically.
Having a good basis of knowledge in technology and business is beneficial for continued growth in MISST. For someone who may feel weak in either discipline, MISST will drive business and technology learning through the coursework. For those who feel they are not as experienced in technology, check out the MISST fluency guidelines to see how you fit. There are also bridge courses that you can take to prepare for the program if needed.
